Lizzo is known for her body positivity, but even she has bad days.
The 32-year-old singer of “Truth Hurts” was open about a bad day and “negative thoughts” about herself in a post on TikTok.
“I came home and took off my clothes to shower and I just started having all these really negative thoughts about myself,” she admitted. “Like ‘what’s wrong with me? Maybe everything. All the mean things that people say I’m true about ‘And, “Why am I so disgusting?” And hate my body. “

“Normally I would have something positive to say to get myself out of there, but I don’t and that’s fine too. I think this is normal [thoughts]. They happen to everyone. They happen to the best of us. “
She continued, “We are the best of us, and I just need to know that tomorrow will change how I feel here.” She pointed to her head. And I can only hope that it changes for the better. But I know that I’m beautiful, I just don’t feel it. But I know I’ll make it “
The next day, Lizzo reported that she “woke up better – not 100 percent, but I’m getting there,” she wrote. “Gave a friction and a hug to the parts of me that I hated last night. Eat a new day. “
Shortly before, Lizzo celebrated how far the positive body movement had come. She said she was “proud of the big girls who gave him wings. My body is changing, but I will appreciate it from every angle. “
Lizzo has long been lauded for her oversized body positivity and self-esteem – and received support from followers for her open post. Earlier this year, she adopted a vegan diet and shared it with her followers, but made it clear that she’s “happy both ways” – whether she eats a plant-based diet or a meat diet – but “for now, that’s what it’s bring me joy. “
