Roommates, we’re sad to report yet another police shooting of a black man that took place at the intersection of 40th Street and 28th Avenue in Kenosha, Wisconsin.
The man, who is yet to be identified, was apparently trying to break up a fight between two women right before the shooting happened, Kenosha News reports.
The neighbors reportedly claim that the shooting happened in front of the man’s children. In the video shared by Facebook user Telicia Phillips, you can see the man attempting to go back into his car with an officer having a gun drawn to his back. When the man opened his car door, the officer grabbed the man’s shirt and fired his gun, shooting at the man 7 times while still pulling on his shirt. The man was then taken to the hospital by Flight for Life.
The Kenosha, Wisconsin Police Department released a short statement about the shooting saying that the man is in “serious condition”.
