In the world of cryptocurrencies that we know and love so well, PlanB stands out as a respected figure. Famous for introducing the Stock 2 Flow model, he has made a new prediction about the future of Bitcoin. Get ready, ETFs are coming!

In a recent Ask Me Anything (AMA) session, renowned on-chain analyst PlanB shared insights that suggest the approval of spot market Bitcoin exchange-traded funds (ETFs) could lead to Bitcoin (BTC) is reaching unprecedented highs and may even surpass its own previous all-time high ahead of the scheduled halving in April 2024.

In its discussions, PlanB expressed an optimistic view. He suggests that Bitcoin could reach around $69,000 in a few months if the ETFs are approved before the halving in 2024 – a point in time when rewards for Bitcoin miners will be reduced. This prediction indicates a potential 50% increase from current values.

Is a $100,000 possible?

PlanB is confident in its predictions. He even mentions a chance for Bitcoin to reach $100,000 if the ETF receives approval by January. He emphasizes how crucial this ETF approval is to Bitcoin's growth and explains the relationship between Bitcoin miners and exchange users.

He expects this arbitrage to increase, especially with the impending launch of the ETF. The launch of the ETF in January could speed up this process and allow miners to potentially command higher prices. Previously, Cathie Wood of Ark Invest also shared this optimism and predicted that a Bitcoin ETF approval could push its value above $600,000, reflecting the bullish sentiment.

It's not a walk in the park – here are the risks

Amid all the excitement, analysts assess the risk of ETF rejection. The short-term bearish scenario? Will there be a price bloodbath? Surprisingly, however, PlanB remains optimistic, suggesting that Bitcoin price will not fall below $25,000 unless an unforeseen major event occurs, comparable to the unprecedented impact of the COVID crisis during the last halving in 2020 .

PlanB is aware that unexpected events, often called “black swans”, can have an impact on the market. However, he currently does not see any major risks that could drastically change Bitcoin's upward trend. He points out that Bitcoin's current value is around $40,933 and expects it to continue its positive trend.
