You get a bizarre process. Venture capitalists see what all their friends are talking about. And their friends keep talking about that company or token and start FOMOing [fear of missing out-ing] and then their LPs [investors in the venture capital fund] are like, yo, have you already made us a lot of money with this company or this token? And the answer is no, we haven’t invested in it. But that’s not a good answer given the question your LPs just asked. So instead you say, oh boy, you’re going to be amazed by what we’ve done and/or are about to do. And then you find a way to get into that token and/or company.

It’s bizarre processes like this that end up looking like venture capitalists investing in traditional stocks and cryptocurrencies.
