Binance and BNB Chain team members are participating in multiple events in the region to increase ecosystem impact.
Central Asia and MENA are gaining crypto attention
Both BNB Chain and Binance have made headlines in the early days of February as both have attended events in the region or announced upcoming events. The region is a stronghold for Binance, home to multiple operating licenses.
Representatives from Binance, Binance Academy, BNB Chain and TrustWallet attended the Digital Almaty International Forum in Almaty, Kazakhstan. Team members hosted a panel at the event, which was attended by BNB Chain’s Head of Developer Relations, Zoe Wei. Binance received a license to operate in the country in late 2022.

Binance CEO Changpeng Zhao (CZ) also seems to be doing the rounds in the MENA region. CZ will be speaking at the Satoshi Roundtable IX in Dubai on February 3rd. The famous CEO also tweeted about how many events are taking place in the UAE. Binance secured an operating license in Dubai in spring 2022.

And finally, BNB Chain announced that it will be working with Fellaz to offer Non-Fungible Token (NFT) ticketing for the Ultra Music Festival in Abu Dhabi on March 4th and 5th, according to a February. 1 blog post by DARDANIA.BNB. The big EDM festival will implement a seamless and secure Web3 ticketing experience for attendees.
“Our NFT ticketing solution will enable the use of NFTs to provide a secure and tamper-proof method of verifying ticket authenticity and providing a convenient experience for fans,” said Alvin Kan, director of growth and ops at BNB Chain, on the blog . “This is a major advancement in the use of blockchain technology in the entertainment industry and we are confident that it will set a new benchmark for Web3 fan engagement and entertainment applications.”
