Horizon Communications announced that it has “applied for a regulatory license to operate a new high-speed 4G LTE wireless solution for homes and businesses in Bermuda.”
Horizon previously announced plans to raise funds from an initial coin offering [ICO] with a goal of launching the web service in June 2018, and in explaining the change of plan, the company previously said it “was able to secure funding from a Bermuda-based mutual fund.”
A spokesman said: “Horizon Communications [Horizon]a Bermuda-based next-generation telecommunications company, is pleased to announce that it has applied for a regulatory license to operate a new high-speed 4G LTE wireless solution for homes and businesses in Bermuda.
“Horizon’s Integrated Communications Operating License Application [ICOL] was filed with the regulator of Bermuda [RA] during the one-month application period set by the RA. This is the first time since a moratorium on new telecom licenses was lifted, announced in October 2019.
