Max Keizer, vocal Bitcoin advocate, took to social media platform X to once again share the stunning Bitcoin price prediction that he continues to stand by. This time, he tweeted how quickly he expects the leading digital currency to reach this price level, something that seems impossible to Bitcoin critics and would be welcomed by Bitcoin believers.
Bitcoin at $220,000, here’s when it could happen: Keizer
In his tweet, Keizer stated that many people keep asking him when Bitcoin will reach $220,000. He said it is important to remember that “Bitcoin trading at this level causes irreversible damage AFTER social unrest and the collapse of society.” Currently, many major cities around the world are witnessing social unrest caused by the unfortunate turn of events caused by geopolitical events in various countries at that time.
Keizer warns that people around the world, and Bitcoin holders in particular, need to “prepare for higher prices AND an economic collapse” and wishes everyone the best of luck.
Keizer and his family currently live in El Salvador – the country that adopted Bitcoin as its national currency a few years ago and banned fiat money. Since then, Keizer has been a Bitcoin advisor to the country’s president, Nayib Bukele.
He claims that since Bitcoin was introduced in El Salvador, the country has seen a drastic decrease in violence and crime that was observed before Bitcoin was introduced.
Bitcoin briefly jumps above $29,000 due to fake news
On October 16, Bitcoin suddenly saw a surge of around 10% after certain crypto and leading mainstream media outlets broke the news that the American regulator SEC had reportedly approved the Bitcoin spot ETF iShares submitted by BlackRock for review.
When this news hit the cryptocurrency market, Bitcoin immediately rose to the $29,900 mark. The world’s largest fund manager, BlackRock itself, almost immediately refuted the application as a fake and said that the filing was still under review by the SEC. Bitcoin immediately fell again, losing 8% of its value, which had just risen sharply.
The SEC itself also published a post on the X app asking the community to only get information from trusted sources and the best source about the SEC is the SEC, the tweet said.
Do you think dip season is about to begin?
Today, after yesterday’s volatility, Bitcoin gained 1.17% and is now trading in the $28,500 area. Prominent crypto trader and analyst Michael van de Poppe commented in his tweet that he was “positively surprised” that BTC is currently trading above the $28,000 mark after Monday’s events. He now expects a “buy the dip” season to begin if Bitcoin falls to $27,700 or even $27,300.
