As a result, numerous BTM operators sprung up around the world with the aim of making Bitcoin transactions more accessible.
Companies like CoinFlip, Bitcoin Depot, and Coinsource have become top operators in the US, known for their user-friendly interfaces and fast transactions.
Genesis Coin launched the first two-way bitcoin ATMs in 2015, allowing users to buy and sell bitcoin. The surge in BTMs reflects the growing acceptance of cryptocurrencies. However, these machines have also come under criticism for money laundering and fraud concerns.
