Max Homa won’t win the Rocket Mortgage Classic, but at least he’ll leave Detroit Golf Club with a pretty shot he’ll remember forever.
Homa, who went 10-under into the final round, hit a 140-foot hole-in-one on the par-3 15th. The punch flew over the hole but turned back in. Homa celebrated a small mic-drop style knockdown.

That was Homa’s second career ace on the PGA Tour – the first came a year ago at the 2022 Arnold Palmer Invitational when Homa tied for 17th place with Jon Rahm and Aaron Wise. He made four birdies before the hole-in-one and then sank another birdie on the 17th hole.
Despite his solid game, Homa was still seven shots behind leader Rickie Fowler. Homa has only had six PGA Tour wins in his career – the most recent of which came on Jan. 28 at the Farmers Insurance Open in San Diego at Torrey Pines.
