Crypto Aid Israel hands over $185,000 in donations as more than 30 Web3 companies join the emergency relief initiative

Tel Aviv, Israel – 10/19/23 – Crypto Aid Israel, a collective of local leaders in the crypto space, is pleased to report significant progress in our mission to support Israelis affected by the ongoing wave of Hamas terrorism. The community-backed initiative has raised over $185,000 (approximately NIS 700,000), a testament to the solidarity and collective power of the Web3 and crypto community.

In addition, over 30 companies have come together to support our cause, including accounting giant KPMG, who is supporting us with fundraising and distribution. Other major companies participating in the campaign through awareness or financial donations include crypto wallet provider Zengo, Fuse, Wonderland, Psagot Equity and many more.

Crypto Aid Israel also announces two completed rounds of aid distribution to several organizations at the forefront of relief efforts. These donations, totaling NIS 200,000, are intended to have a tangible impact on the lives of those in need. NGOs that have already received funding from CryptoAidIsrael include:

Foundation for the Advancement of Citizens of the Eshkol Regional Council: An organization that supports the well-being and resilience of Israel’s southern communities, particularly in times of conflict, through the provision of essential services and products.

• The following were funded: Support the transportation and accommodation needs of citizens who, although living in areas close to Gaza, are not officially recognized as such by the Israeli government. This help enables affected people to seek safety and refuge.

Age: an Israeli volunteer-based NGO specializing in search and rescue, disaster relief and emergency medical services, often operating after major incidents and emergencies.

• The following were funded: Backup critical medical equipmentt and ceramic vests for Zaka’s volunteers serving on the front lines.

Lev Echad from Or Hanegev veHagalil: an NGO committed to supporting at-risk youth and promoting social inclusion in Israel through various education and empowerment programs.

• The following were funded: Provide essential supplies, especially food, hygiene products and clothing, to those who have chosen to remain in the regions bordering Gaza, in order to protect and support communities and kibbutzim.

Hidden: an Israeli non-profit organization dedicated to fighting poverty and providing humanitarian assistance to disadvantaged communities, with a focus on food security and social assistance

• The following were funded: Latet launched a large-scale operation in the South, providing food and hygiene boxes to citizens in urgent need with limited access to food and resources – those still in the South and those evacuated to other locations, families in need, the elderly , Holocaust survivors and local reservists.
