Coinbase Advanced customers in the US can now access regulated cryptocurrency futures contracts.

The company has precisely sized futures contracts for retail traders at 1/100 of a Bitcoin (BTC/USD) and 1/10 of an Ethereum (ETC/USD).

Traders in the United States can now use the Coinbase Advanced platform to access spot contracts (via Coinbase Inc) and futures (via Coinbase Financial Markets – CFM) through an integrated, secure, and easy-to-use platform.

In August, CFM received approval to offer government-regulated cryptocurrency trading to eligible US customers.

Coinbase is likely to report another quarter of losses on Thursday as trading volumes continued to decline in the third quarter. Consensus revenue is $0.14 million and EPS loss is $0.01.

Coinbase is in a legal battle with the US Securities and Exchange Commission for allegedly operating an unregistered exchange. In June, the US-based cryptocurrency exchange blocked new users from signing up for its exchange product in India.

Price movement

COIN shares were up 1.76% at $78.48 at last check on Wednesday.
