Decentralized oracle provider Chainlink has launched Data Streams – a low latency oracle with automated trade execution for DeFi markets.
Data Streams serves high-frequency data markets using a decentralized infrastructure. Chainlink first deployed this solution on Arbitrum, where it is available for early access.
The novel development consists of two core elements: low latency oracles that provide market data in the off-chain stream, and an automation infrastructure that monitors transactions, collects off-chain market data and sends it for settlement.
Using data streams, decentralized exchanges can now offer traders a CEX-like user experience, while numerous other dApps now have access to their high-frequency data from on-chain markets.
As introduced on Arbitrum, Data Streams currently operates GMX, a decentralized derivatives exchange that offers decentralized futures trading for a range of assets.
“With a decentralized infrastructure and conflict-free data, Data Streams enables DeFi apps to create a secure trading experience at scale.” Chainlink explains in the announcement, adding: “This means users can enjoy fair trade execution and protection from toxic flow, Front running and negative selection preserved.”
Chainlink is the largest decentralized oracle provider securing the entire DeFi ecosystem with its fast and efficient market data across different chains.
