A recent study by Bitget focused on the upcoming Bitcoin halving suggests a positive outlook as market conditions continue to recover. With the Bitcoin halving scheduled for April 2024, investors around the world are carefully analyzing the possible impact on their investment decisions.
The study involved a wide range of participants from Western Europe, Eastern Europe, Southeast Asia, East Asia, MENA and Latin America, a total of 9,748 people.
High price expectations for Bitcoin
84% of study participants conducted by Bitget expect Bitcoin to surpass the previous bull market's all-time high of $69,000, signaling growing confidence in the leading crypto asset's potential. While optimism is high in most regions, Eastern Europe is a notable exception.
Over half of respondents predicted that Bitcoin prices would fluctuate between $30,000 and $60,000. Fully 30% believe the price will rise above $60,000, highlighting the positive sentiment in the market.
Approximately 70% of respondents expressed intentions to increase their crypto investments. This tendency is particularly pronounced in the MENA and Eastern Europe regions, indicating strong belief in the growth prospects of crypto assets.
Interestingly, the study also looks at regional perspectives and shows different perspectives for different markets. While Latin America, East Asia and Southeast Asia are displaying high levels of optimism, Western Europe and Eastern Europe appear to be more cautious, although the majority still acknowledge the significant impact of the halving on the price of Bitcoin.
Beyond the halving
Even beyond the halving, investors remain optimistic about Bitcoin's long-term trajectory. An overwhelming 84% expect Bitcoin to surpass previous all-time highs. Despite differing opinions on the immediate impact of the halving, there is consensus on the asset's potential for future growth.
Meanwhile, predictions for the next bull market continue to reflect this optimism, with the majority of investors expecting price fluctuations between $50,000 and $100,000. A significant percentage of participants also expect prices above $150,000, especially in regions such as Latin America and MENA, reflecting their positive attitude towards Bitcoin's development.
