Bitcoin fanatic changes bitcoin pizza trend and buys 10,000 pizzas for 1 BTC

A crypto enthusiast celebrated a historic Bitcoin (BTC) retail transaction by buying pizza. Crypto fanatic named Daniel Nita announced on Twitter that he was able to buy 10,000 pizzas for 1 BTC in Romania.

At the current price, the 10,000 pizzas sold for approximately $26,800, giving the buyer an incredibly favorable exchange rate.

Changpeng “CZ” Zhao, the CEO of the largest crypto exchange Binance, commented on the announcement, stressing that the story has been reversed. He claimed bitcoin remains a legend since a pizza sold for 10,000 bitcoins 13 years ago. Zhao went further and said he looks forward to enjoying a pizza whenever he’s in Romania.

13 years ago: 1 pizza for 10,000 BTC.
Today 10,000 pizzas for 1 BTC. Still a legend!

That’s a lot of pizza when I think about it. I assume I’ll be able to eat pizza when I’m back in Romania.😂 https://t.co/0PCDO7PVCY

In fact, the story of the bitcoin pizza transaction that began 13 years ago remains a legend in the crypto world. Notably, Bitcoin’s exponential increase in value since then has made it a significant milestone in Bitcoin history.

The “Bitcoin Pizza” narrative historically refers to the first documented Bitcoin transaction in the real world. On May 22, 2010, Laszlo Hanyecz, a Bitcoin enthusiast, rose to fame paid 10,000 bitcoins for two pizzas worth $41 at the time. This transaction now represents how the first Bitcoin adopters used the cryptocurrency in their daily lives.

A call for faster adoption of Bitcoin and cryptocurrencies

As the crypto market continues to grow and mature, many industry leaders believe that the widespread adoption of cryptocurrencies and blockchain technology can bring numerous benefits to various sectors.

During a speech at the World Economic Forum in Davos, some executives from crypto companies spoke called for a quick crypto introduction. CasperLabs CEO Cliff Sarkin stated that as the market expands, the peaks and valleys will be beautiful.

Specifically, faster and more widespread crypto adoption means a larger user base and market for crypto-related products and services. Crypto firms are expected to benefit from increased demand for their offerings, which may lead to business growth, higher revenues, and market expansion.

Additionally, increasing adoption of cryptocurrencies may lead to increased liquidity and trading volume in crypto markets, and overall, non-crypto-native businesses may begin to accept the emerging assets as a means of payment for various goods and services.
