Bitcoin (BTC) searches on Google fall to lowest level since 2020

The total number of Google searches for Bitcoin (BTC) has plummeted again and is at its lowest level in three years.

The Google search trend highlighted A post by Ki Young Ju, the co-founder and CEO of crypto analytics platform CryptoQuant, estimates just 16 for the week of October 1-7.

Current Bitcoin Search Trend Outlook

While Bitcoin is arguably the most prominent digital currency in the Web3.0 scene by market capitalization, it has clearly lost its place in the social sentiment scale based on Google search trends.

According to the data, Bitcoin’s search interest volume has declined from its all-time high (ATH) of 100 in the week ending May 22, 2021. According to Google, a value of 100 means that the search word has reached the peak of its popularity, a value of 50 indicates medium popularity, and a value of 0 indicates that the word does not have enough data to calculate its popularity.

Although Bitcoin is not at 0, its value is evidence that it has not recovered from the much-publicized crypto winter.

Although the asset also has a lower search value than it currently has, the overall weakening sentiment shows that it has also not benefited from the growing hype surrounding a potential spot exchange-traded fund (ETF) product can be approved soon from the US Securities and Exchange Commission (SEC).

Comprehensive waning popularity

Since Bitcoin is currently not as popular as it used to be, it is worth noting that its problems are not particularly significant, as most Web3.0 terms have also fallen to their lowest search values in years.

According to Google search data for the same period, terms such as Bitcoin ETF, Ethereum, Chainlink, and Shiba Inu have assigned ratings of 5, 7, 15, and 3, respectively.

Of these, “XRP” managed to reach 17, surpassing Bitcoin’s value, which may have been boosted by its status as a non-security token, as it now is confirmed by a US federal court.
