The value of Bitcoin (BTC) skyrocketed to $60,354.58 on Wednesday, reflecting a significant daily gain of $3,216.28 (5.63%). This latest surge positions the pioneering cryptocurrency well above the psychological threshold of $60,000 and puts it within striking distance of its all-time high.

The previous day's closing price was $57,071.10, indicating a notable increase in valuation within a remarkably short period of time. Bitcoin's daily trading range was from $56,779.22 to $60,438.46, showing the ongoing volatility and strong interest in the booming cryptocurrency market

The Bitcoin price is reaching levels not seen since November 2021

Experts highlight Bitcoin's meteoric price rise in February, which sent its value soaring by over 40% that month – its strongest monthly performance in over two years. This parabolic rally, coupled with Bitcoin's staggering $1.12 trillion market cap and the liquidity provided by its nearly 19 million circulating supply, underscores a resurgence in broader market confidence.

Reaching $60,131 marked Bitcoin's highest valuation since briefly approaching $70,000 in November 2021. There has also been a nearly 19 percent week-on-week bounce since February 21 as fresh capital flows into recently launched U.S Spot Bitcoin exchange-traded funds (ETFs) and inflows flowed. Growing hype ahead of the April halving fueled the strong uptrend.

The expectation of imminent interest rate cuts by the Federal Reserve has further piqued the interest of institutional and private investors.

Trading volume for Bitcoin ETFs is skyrocketing

Trading volumes for the top Bitcoin ETFs have skyrocketed accordingly, with the top ten spot Bitcoin ETFs seeing record inflows of $420 million on Tuesday alone, marking the highest level in nearly two weeks.

Around 70 percent of Bitcoin supply has remained stable for over a year, while institutional buyers such as BlackRock and Fidelity have been actively buying up the rest.
