Bitcoin Tops $59,000, Apple Reportedly Cancels Car Plans: Yahoo Finance Live

Bitcoin (BTC-USD)'s rally continues this morning, with the cryptocurrency hitting a new two-year high of over $59,000. The recent surge adds to Bitcoin's recent gains, with the asset up over 40% since the start of the year. In the technology sector, Apple (AAPL) has reportedly abandoned its plans to enter the electric car business. According to Bloomberg, the tech giant is in the process of developing a self-driving electric vehicle, but has scrapped those plans and will move many of the employees involved in the project to its AI department.
