MLB Opening Day got off to an exciting start, and there’s more to come. With the early window closed, eight more teams are looking to start the 2023 regular season with a win.
Those teams no longer include the Houston Astros, who saw the start of their World Series title defenses turned upside down by the Chicago White Sox. The Sox surprised the Astros by hitting two runs in the ninth inning to earn a 3-2 opening-day win.
Thursday’s nightstand charts the debut of two-way phenom Shohei Ohtani of the Los Angeles Angels in 2023. After an incredible performance at the World Baseball Classic, Ohtani is hoping to carry his success into the regular season. He’s in the final year of his contract with the Angels and could be in the running for the biggest deal in MLB history with another stellar performance this year.
