Deion Sanders and Colorado continued their improbable start to the season with a blowout 36-14 win over Nebraska to move to 2-0 on the season.
Sanders spoke to FOX Sports after the win.
“We pushed hard in the first half, but we came back in the second half,” he said. “We started towards the end of the first half and came back. We had a great conversation at halftime. We just came back and used our resilience.”
The Colorado defense committed four turnovers to advance the win.
“They did their best,” Sanders said of an improvement from last week. “We knew it was just a few personal things we needed to fix. We’ll still take a look and just give up on this big play in the end. We hate things like that, coaches do that.”
At the end of the game, Colorado fans rushed the field to celebrate.
“But overall, I’m so proud of our kids, I’m so proud of the school, I’m so proud of the alumni and everyone else,” Sanders said. “When I see the kids storming the field, I have never taken part in anything like that. So I 100% love it. I don’t think I stumbled or stuttered when I told you we were coming. We come.”
