Exeter City 1-2 Leyton Orient

Leyton Orient came from behind to claim a deserved win at former League One leaders Exeter thanks to Ruel Sotirious’ injury-time winner.

Orient started well with Omar Beckles hitting the crossbar in the first seven minutes and then Sotiriou side-footed wide from six yards as an Exeter clearance landed right at his feet.

Idris El Mizouni forced Greek keeper Gary Woods into a clever save as Exeter, missing several players through injury and international duty, were unable to break through.

However, the home side made a spectacular breakthrough in the 49th minute when 16-year-old debutant Jake Richards lofted the ball forward and Demi Mitchell let it rebound before firing a stunning half-volley from 20 yards over the head of Sol Bryan the underside of the crossbar.

However, Orient equalized six minutes later when Joe Pigott chested down a cross and fired a shot into the bottom corner from ten yards.

Os defender Brandon Cooper forced Woods into a flying save with a shot from 20 yards, while Mitchell missed a good chance for Exeter.

But Orient clinched victory two minutes into stoppage time when Sotiriou had 25 yards of space and his low shot flew past Woods and into the bottom corner.
