For a nation obsessed with football, it’s hard to remember that not everyone loves the game. A lot of people don’t, and that’s totally fine! But it also leaves you vulnerable to being on the wrong side of some good-natured jokes, and several people in Nashville have found that out the hard way.
The Titans creative team went to downtown Music City to get help from passersby asking which team they would be up against in any given week by showing them that team’s logo, and it’s safe to say that these people don’t tune in every Sunday…or every Sunday.
Here are their answers (followed by the actual logo they were shown):
- Week 1: “St. Louis Rams” (Saints) – 10 September
- Week 2: “Lightning McQueen” (Chargers) – September 17th
- Week 3: “Just the Football Logo” (Browns) – September 24
- Week 4: Boston Bobcats (Bengals) – October 1st
- Week 5: “Cowboys” (Colts) – October 8th
- Week 6: “Baltimore Orioles” (Ravens) – October 15
- Week 7: Bye
- Week 8: The Red Stallions (Falcons) – October 29th
- Week 9: “49ers, 69ers, Stars?” (Steelers) – November 5th
- Week 10: Pirates of the Caribbean (Buccaneers) – November 12th
- Week 11: “Chester Cheeto” (Jaguars) – November 19
- Week 12: “North Carolina Tigers” (Panthers) – November 26
- Week 13: “Cowboys” (Colts) – December 3rd
- Week 14: Atlanta Florida Dolphins – December 11
- Week 15: “Texan Texans” (Texans) – December 17th
- Week 16: Eagles Eagles Eagles … from Pittsburgh (Seahawks) – December 24
- Week 17: “Cops? Patriots?” (Texans) – December 31
- Week 18: “Doesn’t Actually Exist” (Jaguars) – TBD
Interestingly (and surprisingly), everyone managed to hit the Titans logo themselves — although downtown Nashville is just steps from Nissan Stadium, that helps.
Let’s just say the Titans are hoping to beat way, way more opponents than these people can name.
