Though perhaps one of the most versatile fighters in the entire ONE Championship, Danial Williams primarily trains in the art of the eight limbs.
On October 6th, “Mini T” returns to the legendary Lumpinee Boxing Stadium, but not for a Muay Thai fight. This time Williams will don the 8-ounce gloves for a fight with reigning ONE Kickboxing World Strawweight Champion Jonathan Di Bell. The pair will appear as part of a stacked line-up at ONE Fight Night 15 on Prime Video.
Weeks ahead of their highly anticipated title fight in Thailand’s most famous venue, Danial Williams revealed that given his long history with the sport, Muay Thai is the martial art he prefers to train:
“The routines and Muay Thai, it’s all ingrained in me, so it’s definitely the easiest to train,” Williams told ONE Championship.
Daniel Williams goes into his duel with Di Bella determined to take the first big step towards his goal of becoming ONE World Champion in three sports. If “Mini T” can pull off a win at ONE Fight Night 15, he’ll walk away with his first 26-pound gold while also handing Di Bella her first career loss.
Williams’ opponent, Jonathan Di Bella, took promotion by storm on his debut in 2022 by defeating “Fighting Rooster” Zhang Peimian to capture the ONE strawweight kickboxing crown and go 11-0. Will he finish 12th in a row against Daniel Williams or will “Mini T” leave the Mecca of Muay Thai as the world champion?
Amazon Prime Video subscribers in North America can watch all the action on ONE Fight Night 15 live and free on October 6th during US primetime.
