Tottenham Hotspur need to change their mentality if they are to end their trophy drought, says assistant coach Cristian Stellini.
Spurs suffered a surprise 1-0 FA Cup defeat by Sheffield United in the Championship on Wednesday.
That leaves Tottenham with the Champions League as their only realistic hope of ending a 15-year trophy drought.
“The mentality is the reality we showed in the last game,” said Stellini.
“That’s the mentality. The approach wasn’t good and it’s not the mentality we need.
“We have to move from that starting point to the future. What happened in the past is done, over. We have to start from now.”
“I’m not here to analyze what has happened in the last 10 years. I’m here to analyze what’s happening from now to the future.
“Every game is different, but the approach has to be the same against every team and in every type of competition.”

Stellini has stepped in for Tottenham boss Antonio Conte, who was absent throughout February following surgery to remove his gallbladder.
However, Italy’s Conte will return to the touchline after Saturday’s game at Wolves.
“I said he would come back this week – right after the Wolves game,” added Stellini.
“He will be back in London on Sunday and will take charge. The doctors will decide that.”
Stellini was in charge while Conte recovered in his homeland.
The assistant oversaw the FA Cup fifth round loss to Sheffield United and urged the team to recover against Wolves.
“We have to react immediately because of this game [against Sheffield United] wasn’t good enough and we don’t want to be like that again,” added Stellini.
“We don’t want to show that to the fans again, we have to create a good mentality.”
Tottenham are fourth in the Premier League with 14 wins from 25 games.
They meet AC Milan in the second leg of the Champions League round of 16 on Wednesday, with the Italian champions a one-goal advantage.
