Tiger Woods was right on the cutline when play was halted at Friday’s Masters.
He was 2-over for the tournament through 11 holes of his second round at the Augusta National when action was halted due to high winds and rain in the area.
It was so windy that several trees were blown down near the 17th tee in a scary scene. Fortunately, no injuries were reported.
Before that, Woods worked his way through an even par and carded a bogey and a birdie that day. He’s well behind clubhouse leader Brooks Koepka, who is at 12-under, but at this point the cutline (currently projected at 2-over) is the more important target for Woods. He’s trying to make his 23rd consecutive Masters cut, which would break the all-time record.
He scored a 2-over-74 to open the Masters on Thursday.
