The sport shooting competition created in Fortnite has been added to the Olympic Esports Series 2023
A International Shooting Sport Federation Challenge with Fortnite will be part of the squad for the opening Olympic Esports Series 2023bringing the total number of sports and games involved in the series to 10.
The IInternational Olympic Committee (IOC)together with the Singapore National Olympic Council (SNOC)released event details and ticket information on Friday (5 May).
The competition will be an invitational event and will involve 12 players from the Fortnite Champion Series. There will be a special International Shooting Federation Island created in Fortnite that is meant to reflect the sport shooting competitions. Players are tested for accuracy, just like competitive marksmen would.
The Olympic Esports Series 2023 is a global virtual and simulated esports competition created by the IOC in partnership with International Federations (IFs) and game publishers. The top players will compete in live finals from June 22-25, 2023 as part of the Olympic Esports Finals in Singapore Olympic Esports Week.
Archery (Tic Tac Bow), Baseball (WBSC eBaseball™: Power Pros), Chess (Chess.com), Cycling (Zwift), Dancesport (Just Dance), Motor Sports (Gran Turismo 7) join forces with the competition created in Fortnite. , Sailing (Virtual Regatta), Taekwondo (Virtual Taekwondo) and Tennis (Tennis Clash) in the Olympic Esports Series held at the Suntec Center in Singapore.
All exciting Finals action will be streamed globally on Olympics.com and Olympics social media channels.
Tickets for the Olympic Esports Week are now available. General admission tickets start at S$10 (approximately $7.50 USD) per day, with 3-day passes starting at S$20.
