Nine’s radio stations are outperforming the competition in streaming live sports and premium sports podcasts, according to September figures released by Triton.
With 3AW And 6PRnow the only place listeners can enjoy the best AFL coverage, the Volume of Listening (TLH). rose 39% year-on-year, with the 3AW AFL up a staggering 64% on Saturday.
In combination with that ACRA award-winning NRL coverage from the Continuous Call Team in Sydney’s 2GB and Brisbane’s 4BC, Listening volume has increased by 19% compared to last year.
9PodcastsPremium sports content is on the rise and fans listen to expert analysis and commentary on award-winning programs including Nothing like the 90s and Stories of Origin.
AFL podcasts recorded over 2.6 million downloads (up 53% year-on-year) and 1.1 million listeners (up 116% year-on-year) during the 2023 season. Nine’s NRL podcast series attracted almost 2.2 million downloads (up 34% year-on-year) and 1.08 million listeners (up 66% year-on-year).
