Swindon Town 1-2 Leyton Orient

Swindon’s play-off hopes took a major hit when centre-back Omar Beckles scored on either side of the break while 10-man Leyton Orient held onto the win.

Loan Charlton forward Josh Davison scored with a late strike, but the visitors clinched maximum points.

In a first half with few chances, Beckles struck against the flow of play in the middle and rose highest in the box to connect with a Theo Archibald free-kick.

Hector Kyprianou prevented Orient’s sparkling start when, just minutes later, he was given a second yellow card by referee Sam Allison for bringing down Louie Barry.

Ten minutes before half-time, tempers were boiling as players and coaches squabbled on the pitch and six yellow cards were shown, including one for Richie Wellens, the former Swindon – now Orient – ​​boss.
