Where is the bright spark from Sydney’s beaches running for Parliament under the banner of Save Men’s Sport?
There’s someone running to Save Women’s Sport under the protection of a male Prime Minister’s so-called “Captain’s Pick.” (In what sport does there even exist such a thing as a “captain’s election”? Mountaineering?) There is a beautiful Orwellian language game embedded in the concept of a man using such an unsportsmanlike notion as a “captain’s election” to choose a woman Saving women’s sport on the basis that men are so much better at everything.
“Save Women’s Sport” could just as easily be called “Save Men’s Egos”. I checked the site at a bad moment, and I’ve never felt better about being a “biological man”. Here I thought I was faint, panting and groggy when I discovered on the Save Women’s Sport website that I’m actually faster, bigger and stronger than any woman; I have a bigger heart and bigger lungs; I have less body fat and greater “explosive power”; and I have higher hemoglobin levels, more muscle, and larger bones than a “biological female.”
What chance does she have against me? If you still have doubts about your biological superiority, all you need is a trip to “Is that fair?” Section of this site dedicated to saving women’s sport. My parents were really blessed to have me with all my muscles, hemoglobin, testosterone and whatnot instead of a girl.
This is the perfect stepping stone for the forthcoming website dedicated to saving men’s sport.
The first thing to protect men’s sport from is the attempt of women to cross into our space. Men are extremely threatened on the cricket field. Recently, an Australian women’s team that dared to demand full-time professional payment won a World Cup, drawing such media attention and community excitement that men’s cricket’s place as Australia’s favorite sport was under threat. By hitting sixes not just over the rope but over the fence, by ripping leg spinners at angles not seen since Shane Warne’s time, by jumping horizontally to pick one-handed catches, these women switch into biologically male territory. Next thing you know, they’ll be asking for contracts worth up to 50 percent men’s worth and their shows will be rated higher than a men’s ODI series. Boys and men need government to protect them from this injustice.

Men’s sport faces a terrible injustice in the field of coaching. As Pam Shriver has recently testified, true excellence in sport depends on men coaching young people to reach their potential. Only a man can count on telling a young girl that she is too fat, too unattractive, too weak, too girly to succeed; Only a man can motivate this young girl to become the best in the world. Only one man can be a King Richard and institute a breeding program to fill a trophy cabinet.
