Both teams played stingy defense and that was what dominated the game. In fact, it took the Chiefs until the end of the third quarter to score a touchdown, and it took recovering a botched punt to set it up.
The game eventually went into overtime (remember the 49ers PAT that was blocked in the fourth quarter?), with the Chiefs claiming a 25-22 victory.
