The Ipswich Sports Awards return in 2022, recognizing local sporting legends and rising stars on and off the pitch.
Community, Culture, Arts and Sport Committee Chair Andrew Fechner said the Ipswich Sports Awards is a wonderful celebration of our local sporting community.
“These awards recognize and celebrate those who participate in sports in our city and the very important people who make that participation possible,” said Cr Fechner.
“Sport brings tremendous benefits to our community, contributing to a more active and healthier Ipswich and promoting social connection and cohesion.
“The City Council is proud to host the Ipswich Sports Awards 2022 which continues our support of sport across the city which includes more than 60 City Council sports facilities welcoming more than 150 clubs and organizations.”
