KANSAS CITY, Kan. – Two first-half goals gave Sporting Kansas City an early lead, but three unanswered Galaxy goals resulted in a 3-2 home loss for SKC.
Sporting's unbeaten streak ends after four games and they are now 1-1-3 on the season.

In the 32nd minute, Jake Davis' corner went to midfielder Erik Thommy, who sent a cross into the penalty area that bounced off a defender to Dániel Sallói. Sallói sent a pass to Nemanja Radoja, who was in the middle of the penalty area, and shot the goal from point-blank range with his left foot.
It was Radoja's first goal since joining Sporting in October 2022.
In the 48th minute, a corner kick led to another goal for Sporting when Willy Agada slid through the middle of the penalty area just before half-time and shot the ball into the goal.
SKC had 17 shots (six on goal) in the first half, while Galaxy had two shots (one on goal).
Sporting threatened early in the second half when Alan Pulido missed a shot from the right side of the penalty area and the ball went over the crossbar.
LA's Dejan Joveljic scored in the 57th minute but was ruled offside.

Galaxy defender Eriq Zavaleta brought them within a point with a goal from a corner kick in the 72nd minute.
Shortly afterwards, in the 74th minute, another goal from Joveljic was disallowed for offside, but in the 75th minute he equalized the game with a right-footed shot from the center of the penalty area.
LA's goal in the 80th minute by Mark Delgado was also taken off the board for offside. The VAR replay showed that Delgado was clearly onside when he intercepted a cross from Gabriel Pec to make it 3-2 for Sporting.
LA's line blocked a free kick just outside the penalty area in the 88th minute.
SKC finished the game with 25 shots (eight on goal) to 11 (eight on goal) with 11 blocked shots and a margin of nearly 50.7% in possession.

Head coach Peter Vermes changing the formation from a 4-3-3 to a 4-2-3-1 with Agada as a striker was one of the keys to their success on the night.
