Sport confidential: Australia’s new sporty glamor couple Zac Lomax and Tahlia Thornton

St. George Illawarra star Zac Lomax is one of Australia’s newest sporting glamor couple enjoying the off-season in Hawaii with new girlfriend Tahlia Thornton.

St George Illawarra center Zac Lomax has stepped out with a new glamorous girlfriend and the pair are set to become Australia’s new sporting power couple.

Lomax has been dating Australian swimmer Tahlia Thornton for the past few months, with Thornton spotted at the recent St George Illawarra games.

The couple is in Hawaii while Lomax is enjoying some downtime following the Dragons’ early season end and happily posed for photos including at Diamond Head in Honolulu.

Thornton is a rising star of pool and has set his sights on representing Australia at the Paris 2024 Olympics. She competed in the national championships earlier this year, finishing fourth in the 200m backstroke behind Commonwealth Games gold medalist Kaylee McKeown.

Thornton was named to an Australian A-level swimming team and competed at the US National Championships in California in July. She swims from the Queensland USC Spartans swim squad.

Fellow swimmer Kyle Chalmers took a cheeky dig at Lomax after posing with Thornton for a holiday snap.

Chalmers told Lomax he had a “nice manbag” to see, Lomax replied “as did your skinny jeans and your black nails”.

Lomax is no stranger to high-profile relationships. He split from long-term partner and rugby league star Jess Sergis last year. The pair quickly deleted all references from their respective Instagram accounts.

They were former St George Illawarra clubmates before Sergis joined the Roosters.
