The 2023 NFL combine has hit the weekend, which means quarterbacks will take center stage. Field practices for the quarterbacks, wide receivers and tight ends will be held Saturday at Lucas Oil Stadium in Indianapolis.
This year’s QB class is full of intrigue. Yahoo Sports draft expert Charles McDonald spoke to seven NFL scouts this week, and opinion on which quarterback is the best prospect in 2023 was split between four men:
Alabama QB Bryce Young
Ohio State QB CJ Stroud
Florida QB Anthony Richardson
Kentucky’s QB Will Levis
Of the four, only Young will not throw this weekend. McDonald has all four QBs in the top 7 of his latest mock draft.
As for the wide receiver class, Ohio State’s Jaxon Smith-Njigba, USC’s Jordan Addison and TCU’s Quentin Johnston are battling it out for first place in the wideout. Notre Dame’s Michael Mayer is the consensus top tight end in the class, although Utah’s Dalton Kincaid is also a first-round contender.
