Paris Hilton says she and other young female celebrities, including Britney Spears and Lindsay Lohan, have been mocked in the media and by the entertainment industry “because of the sport”.
The US celebrity and businesswoman said she was “rogued” in the ’00s for being a “teenage girl discovering life.”
In a new interview with Harper’s Bazaar, Hilton, the granddaughter of Hilton Hotels founder Conrad Hilton, opened up about her life of control, relationships and motherhood.

In 2007, she was sentenced to 45 days in Los Angeles County jail for a parole violation related to a reckless driving charge — which got a lot of tabloid attention.
She was mocked for the incident by comedian Sarah Silverman at the MTV Movie Awards and talk show host David Letterman, although both have since apologized.
“The way I was treated — myself, Britney, Lindsay, all of us — it was a sport,” she told Harper’s Bazaar.
“We were just young girls finding life and going to a party. And we were demonized for it.”
Hilton recently announced the birth of her first child, who was reportedly born to a surrogate mother with partner Carter Reum.
She posted a close-up image of a baby clutching a thumb on her Instagram profile with the caption, “You’re already loved beyond words.”
The couple wed in 2021 and Hilton said she’s “finally getting what I deserve” with Reum.
“I just feel like after all the hell I’ve been through, I’m finally getting what I deserve, which is someone I can trust and build a real life with,” she said.
She revealed that on the day of her son’s birth, she changed into a brunette wig and hoodie and checked into the hospital under a different name – in an attempt to keep the baby’s birth a secret.
“My whole life has been so public,” she told Harper’s Bazaar.
“I never had anything for myself. We decided we wanted the whole experience to ourselves.”
