GB took gold and silver in the women's tandems
The British cycling team achieved its best ever World Championship medal haul with 31 at the UCI Paracycling Track World Championships in Brazil.
The team won 13 gold, 13 silver and five bronze medals over the course of the five-day event, placing them at the top of the medal table.
On the final day of racing in Rio on Sunday, British riders took home eleven medals, including three world titles.
The performances underlined Great Britain's strength in this Paralympic year.
There was further British success in the women's tandems: Lizzi Jordan and Danni Khan secured their third title at this year's championships, while Sophie Unwin and Jenny Holl took silver in the sprint.
“I’m pretty speechless,” Khan said. “If we had said on paper last week what we wanted to achieve, I wouldn't have expected three gold medals for our first ever World Championships together and after three months in tandem.”
“It’s just incredible, I’m so proud of both of us and can’t wait for the rest of the year to see what we can achieve together.”
Neil Fachie and Matt Rotherham won their third straight men's tandem sprint title after a gold medal ride against France, while James Ball and Steff Lloyd relegated the United States to bronze.
In the C1-5 mixed team sprint, Kadeena Cox, Blaine Hunt and Jaco van Gass won silver.
Katie Toft and Daphne Schrager took silver medals in the women's C1 and C2 omniums after Sunday's scratch race, while Van Gass won the men's C3 scratch race to take the omnium title and his third gold medal of the Championship secured.
“I am very satisfied and very happy and there are three more in the collection,” Van Gass said.
Fin Graham finished sixth overall, finishing third in the omnium and taking bronze, while Matt Robertson took bronze in the men's C2 omnium and Hunt took bronze in the C5 omnium.
