ONE Championship fights will be broadcast live on Sky Sports in the UK, with the Superlek fight being one of the first to be broadcast by the broadcaster

ONE Championship has signed an agreement with British broadcaster Sky Sports to broadcast events on its channels across the UK and Ireland.

The partnership kicks off with ONE Fight Night 18, which will highlight the fight between Superlek Kiatmoo9 and Elias Mahmoudi and will be broadcast live in the UK on Saturday 14th January at 1am.

Chatri Sityodtong, chairman and CEO of ONE Championship, said his promotion's fans in the UK had been “clamoring” for the fights to be broadcast on one of Europe's biggest broadcasters for years.

“This deal represents an important milestone in celebrating martial arts and further expanding ONE Championship’s global presence,” he said.

Helen Falkus, Sky Sports director of multisport, said: “We're delighted to be partnering with ONE Championship to bring the full combat sports spectrum to Sky Sports for the first time. “We hope to attract new fans to the premium competitive formats on our channels and reach new target groups for Sky.”
