Aberdeen “won’t win another game” if their form continues
This is not how Neil Warnock would have imagined his stay in Scotland.
The garrulous Englishman arrived in Aberdeen talking about having fun, but after a modest home defeat to St Johnstone in the sixth game of his reign, the 75-year-old said he currently “can't see Aberdeen winning another game”.
Not words that will fill the angry Pittodrie fanbase with much hope.
Two points from five league games was a miserable record for the Pittodrie manager, who was brought to the club to help manage a season that was faltering under Barry Robson.
Instead, the picture only looks bleaker under the Englishman, who now admits his side are fighting to avoid relegation to the top flight for the first time.
“I’ve never seen goals conceded like that,” Warnock told ` Scotland. “We have to stop this, otherwise we won’t win another game. I have to try to work with what we have.”
“I can understand the fans. I actually feel sorry for them. You deserve better. I don't want to let anyone down. Some.” [players] I have to look in the mirror.
“If they think they played well, they are wrong. Everyone needs to step up their game, stop feeling sorry for themselves and move on.”

Apart from a Scottish Cup victory over fourth division side Bonnyrigg Rose, there were no further wins for Warnock's Aberdeen.
Eleven goals were scored in just five league games, with the team picking up just two points from draws against Motherwell and Hibernian, leaving them in ninth place and just four points above the relegation play-off spot.
Even in the early stages of his tenure, former Aberdeen captain and manager Willie Miller is already seeing patterns in Warnock's predecessors.
“I felt Barry Robson didn't address the issue in his post-match interviews and we have another one here,” Miller said on Sportsound.
“Warnock talks in riddles. The fans want to know how he will do it. You can say we're in a relegation battle, but you have to add: 'This is how we're going to sort it out' because that's what they did.” There are good players and they are underperforming.

While the Ultras in the Red Shed did their best to keep the chant going throughout the game, there was an underlying anger at Pittodrie.
Not for the first time this season there were boos at half-time and at the end after another dismal result that plunges Aberdeen deeper into the relegation mire.
After the game, chants of “throw out the field” and “you are not fit to wear the jersey” rang out.

Warnock was brought in to steady the ship and get things moving in the right direction. So far this has not happened and there has been no change of new manager.
He's still waiting for his first win in the league, he was optimistic after this recent poor result, but his assessment that they won't win another game if they keep conceding “goals like this” undoubtedly raises alarm bells.
Having only been in office for a short time, Warnock said he was “absolutely” ready for the fight, adding given the current predicament: “In some ways I think it's a job well done that I'm here.”
Despite his impressive CV, one gets the feeling that he will have to draw on all of his experience in the coming weeks if he is to turn this ship around and save it from the danger of sinking.
What do the fans say?
Chris: I'm disappointed with what I see from this side of the field. Throw the ball around the park and expect miracles. The defense is pitiful, the midfield is toothless, Miovski can't do it alone.
Justin: Another dismal performance from Aberdeen. With every passing play, the players seem more lost and spineless. We need a few big performances to ensure we stay in the league.
Mike: Warnock has done nothing but criticize the players since taking over and his management style seems to be making us worse. We must abandon this failed experiment now before we resign.
Niall: What a mess. The descent to the bottom is now a reality. Do the players really want this? No possession, no leadership and a complete lack of creativity and confidence on the ball. The Warnock gamble has completely backfired.
Adam: So poor again. Absolutely no fight from these players. Lots of sideways passes and then hoofing the ball forward. The way we're playing, we're only headed in one direction, and that's the playoffs.
