She adds her voice to support the LTA’s efforts to include more women and girls in the sport of tennis, Harriet Dart, British No. 3 and member of the British Billie Jean King Cup team said: “I think women’s tennis in the UK is really on the rise now, with a lot of young girls grouped around the same rankings. However, I would love to see more women and girls get involved in tennis, so anything that can be done to see tennis continue to lead the way for women’s sport is fantastic.
The launch of the She Rallyes Ambition represents a major step forward in meeting the commitments set out by the LTA in our tennis UK inclusion strategy and is fundamental to our plans to achieve our overall vision, tennis to make it accessible to many more people.
Julie Porter, LTA’s Chief Operating Officer, said: “Tennis has a history to be proud of in leading the way for women’s sport, but we are not content to sit still. If we are to become a truly gender-balanced sport, a new push is needed for the 21st century. Addressing the remaining challenges will not be solved overnight or by a single intervention, but when we work together, we can create a new legacy for future generations of women and girls.
“Our goal at She Rallyes is therefore a commitment to do everything in our power to continue to lead the way for women and girls in sport, as an integral part of what we are doing to change tennis in the UK, but also a call for everyone involved in our sport and beyond to get involved, add your voice of support and play a part in any way you can to ensure tennis continues to break new barriers for women and girls in sport.”

Over the next few months and to accompany the launch we will also be releasing a ‘She Rallyes’ video series presented by former British No.1 Laura Robson, telling the stories of women in tennis and how they rally together, to help tennis become a gender equitable sport.
