Liverpool vs Real Madrid UCL 2022 Final Preview

The 2022 UEFA Champions League Final is right around the corner and it will undoubtedly provide sports betting fans in Ontario the opportunity to use pin-vip-code.com if they wish to enhance their overall experience of watching one of the biggest games in football!

The match will see Liverpool take on Real Madrid at the Stade de France, Paris, on Saturday, May 28, as the two sides compete to be crowned the champions of Europe.

Of course, this match is a repeat of the 2018 Final that was played in Kyiv, which saw the Spanish outfit come out victorious. They won 3-1 on the night, and whilst Gareth Bale managed to score a wonderful overhead kick, Los Blancos were provided a hand when Reds’ ‘keeper Loris Karius made fatal errors during the game.

Naturally, there will be many around the world that will be confident that we will get a different type of game since that final, with both sides having had outstanding seasons. Real Madrid were crowned La Liga champions a few weeks back, whereas Liverpool managed to secure a domestic double and were only just pipped to the Premier League title by Manchester City.

In anticipation of the game, here are a few things that are worth checking out before the game takes place in Paris this coming weekend.

Liverpool and its defence

Liverpool will come into the contest knowing that they can tussle with the best and will not fear Real Madrid, despite what happened the last time these two teams met in the UCL Final.

The Reds have been extremely difficult to beat across all competition this season, with Jurgen Klopp’s side having only lost three matches of the 62 played thus far. Additionally, the Anfield outfit – who lost one match in the UCL this season to Inter on March 8 (the team’s last defeat) – has drawn one other game in the UEFA Champions League whilst winning every single other.

This is certainly something worth looking out for ahead of the game and could potentially sway the tie in Liverpool’s favor.

Real Madrid and Karim Benzema

Is he the next Balon d’Or winner? Perhaps. If Karim Benzema’s exploits in this year’s UCL – as well as across the entire campaign – for Real Madrid are to be judged, then it would be hard to deny the Frenchman of the accolade when award season arrives.

The experienced striker has managed to net 15 goals in 11 appearances in Europe’s elite competition, with a couple of hat-tricks against elite teams for good measure. He managed to net one against Chelsea in the quarterfinals, having previously netted a hat-trick against Paris Saint-Germain in the round prior.

In fact, Benzema has been so lethal in this year’s competition, that he has only failed to score in two matches in the competition thus far. He failed to score in the opener against Inter and did not net in the first leg of the game against PSG.

Many will be expecting him to net again at the weekend, and if he does, it would not be a surprise if he were to get more than just one with the way he is currently playing.

Of course, the game itself has all the ingredients to be a classic, so let’s hope it is!
