A star-studded field of open-wheel racers visited Port Royal Speedway for a 25-lap daytime feature, with Keith Kauffman crossing the checkered flag first.
It was Kauffman’s fourth win in five half-mile races during the 1984 season.
Randy Wolfe stormed from 17th to second with Dave Blaney, Scott Tobias and Van May rounding out the top five.
Rich Vogler (pictured above) started in a rare winged sprint car and finished seventh.
