Former NBA star Robert Horry was kicked out of his son’s basketball game after molesting the referee

Robert Horry was kicked out of his son’s high school basketball game on Friday night and received a police escort from the stands at St. Francis High School in Los Angeles after repeatedly verbally abusing a referee. According to a report by NBC Los Angeles, Horry’s son Christian is a player at Harvard Westlake who had attended St. Francis.

In video obtained by TMZ Sports, Horry was seen shouting “You suck!” at a referee after his son ascertained his fourth foul of the game in the third quarter. The referee in question then pointed at Horry and subsequently threw him out, causing him to erupt again.

“Hey referee, are you talking about me!? You suck!” shouted Horry. “Oh you’re mad at me for saying you suck!?”

Horry continued to yell and smack the referee before leaving, eventually exchanging a word with Harvard Westlake head coach David Rebibo on his way out.

Known as “Big Shot Rob” and famed for his clutch performance, Horry won seven NBA championships with the Houston Rockets, Phoenix Suns, Los Angeles Lakers and San Antonio Spurs during his 16-year playing career.

Horry has had trouble at his son’s basketball games in the past when he punched a man who had been molesting players at a youth basketball tournament in 2017.
