FAYETTEVILLE, Ark. – The duo of juniors Adrien Burdet and Melvin Manuel won their third game of the tournament to advance to the doubles final at the ITF 15K Fayetteville Futures on Friday.
In the semifinals, it was a tough matchup between the Razorback pair and USF’s Chase Ferguson and Finn Reynolds. The Hogs took a close first set, 6-4, while their opponent struggled to keep coming back and leveling it in the second set. However, the Arkansas duo prevailed to win the second set 7-5.
Burdet and Manuel will meet the young duo of Belgian Alessio Basile and American Cooper Williams in tomorrow’s final after the semi-final singles game at 10 a.m. CT.
