Sporting goods retailer Decathlon’s Experience and Click & Collect stores complement its digital platforms and make it easy for customers to discover products for around 60 different sports. If you haven’t been scrolling the app 24/7 to look for products or don a boxing glove, hop on a kick scooter or test an acoustic snorkel mask in the aisles, you’re missing out on Decathlon’s immersive omni-channel experience.
“We are committed to making the enjoyment and benefits of sport accessible to all Singaporeans. We want to speak more to their hearts than to their souls; this is how our experiences are designed,” says Stephan Veyret, CEO of Decathlon Singapore. “I know a lot of kids who ran their first bikes in our stores; We helped them take the first step towards a better and healthier life. This is the kind of experience we dream of offering to everyone.”
Founded in 1976 and headquartered in Lille, France, the company develops, manufactures and distributes sports products worldwide. In Singapore, Veyret, a 24-year corporate veteran, is strengthening its ecosystem of online and offline solutions. Decathlon’s digital marketplace launched in May with brand partners such as Garmin, Diadora and Pure Sports Nutrition; A 700 square meter data lab was opened in July to develop new digital services for Decathlon International and to incubate data projects in collaboration with various partners such as Sport Singapore.
