Earlier this season, Brown claimed Ricciardo failed to live up to the team’s expectations as tensions mounted. However, the Australian hit back, urging them to give him a better car to get closer to the front.
Speaking to Sky Sports F1, he said: “Give me a winning car and I will win. I don’t feel like I’ve ever left a win on the table. That is the challenge ahead of us, with myself and with the McLaren team.”
Ahead of the French Grand Prix, Ricciardo has taken to social media to address rumors about his F1 future. The 33-year-old said he is “tied to McLaren until the end of next year” and will “not be leaving the sport”.
