An annual free fair featuring 21 local organizations returns to Town Center Park this month.
Families with young children, as well as residents of all ages looking to get into organized sport, will learn more about local programs on August 20.
Coquitlam hosts its annual free sports fair in Town Center Park with 21 regional groups looking to provide information and testing stations in hopes of finding “a sport for everyone”.
“The sports fair is one of the Spotlight on Sport initiatives of the Coquitlam in Bloom program,” said city parks manager Kathleen Reinheimer in a press release.
“The annual event brings together a variety of community sports organizations with members of the public who want to try new sports, find out what local sports groups have to offer and discover fun ways to stay active.”
Sports opening a shop range from martial arts and hockey to softball and ultimate frisbee.
The showcase – which also includes free slushies – will be held at North Field #6 on August 20 from 1-3pm, rain or shine.
