Comments from ` Sport from ‘Neutrals’ – Very interesting about Newcastle United after beating Manchester United
Fascinating reading these comments from ` Sport following Newcastle United’s win over Manchester United at St James’ Park.
The comments from neutrals are particularly revealing…
A little different than what Newcastle United fans expected from ` Sport’s ‘neutrals’.
Neutrals’ ` Sport commentary in the past has been overwhelmingly a catalog of abuse aimed at NUFC supporters.
Especially things about the owners of Newcastle United and the media-inspired hoaxes that NUFC fans have grown accustomed to when being blamed for who now owns their club.
However, this time politics is (almost) completely missing in the comments.
Instead we have the weird trolls/mackem in the comments trying to spoil and win this excellent performance from Newcastle United with some desperate comments.
Some progress…
` Sport readers’ comments from neutrals, with Manchester United fans and the odd Newcastle United supporter also contributing…
“Newcastle brilliant, should have scored about 5/6.
Man Utd was trash all over the park.’
“Yes, very well played Newcastle really should have scored more goals. We were pants. The sooner we get Casemiro and Eriksen back the better.”
“Well done Newcastle. Bruno Fernandes is the most despicable footballer since Robbie Savage. His theatrics deserve a long ban from football.”
“Why does Fernandes keep giving up when things don’t go his way? Plays the stroller like a stubborn child every single match. A million miles from captain material.’
“Man United are a joy to see when they get beaten like that.
Well done Newcastle and thank you!’
“The Toon side cost a fraction of the Man U side but they outplayed the prima donnas today.”
“Totally played us out of the park today
We looked leggy
Well done Newcastle
You deserve it.
Great win.’
“MISSING – Bruno Fernandes. Last seen approaching the Newcastle area in a red top on Sunday midday. No sightings since.’
‘No complaints. Newcastle were the better team.
Deservedly won.
It was a good competition.
Newcastle defended very well…’
“And attacked very well…”
“As a Man United fan. Can’t complain about the result at all. Newcastle were brilliant and we were terrible.’
“Well played Newcastle!
Deserved Winners.
Outfighted, outthought and declassed Manu in all departments.’
“Congratulations to Newcastle who were by far the better team today! Bruno Guimaresh completely dominated the midfield today, I didn’t know he was THAT good, wow what a player.”
“Difference between New U and Man U. Newcastle wanted to play football and win the game. Manchester players all wanted the game ref. Got what they deserved, Newcastle played well.’
“Spurs fan here.
What a win you beaten man I hope you can stay in the top 4 you deserve it and your fans are the 12th man.
“Newcastle looked really good today – the most one-sided 2-0 I’ve seen all season. Man United clearly average.”
‘Chelsea spent £600m to finish 11th, Newcastle spent less than a quarter of that to finish 3rd. It’s not always about money, it’s about a team. Chelsea’s owner just bought the window. In my experience, the window is where the faded merchandise is.”
“Based on Bruno Fernandes’ behavior alone, we should all be happy that he was on the losing side today.”
“Absolutely sad from Man Utd, some of our recent performances have been a disgrace.
The top 4 could slip away from us with these performances.
Well done Newcastle, great job.”
“It struck me that EtH’s comments on wasting time were noted by the referee.
De Gea’s wasted time in the first half and second was ignored.
Newcastle take the lead and Pope goes into match management mode and is immediately addressed.
We will soon see the return of Fergie time.”
“Man Utd were quite simply outplayed, overcome and outclassed.”
“Just one utd on the rise and it’s not Manchester well done Newcastle from across the nation.”
“I’m not sure if it’s from across the nation. Many teams also despise Newcastle. You may not follow football but I can assure you Sunderland fans will not be cheering. To deceive.’
“Bruno from Newcastle coached Bruno from Manchester not only in football skills but also in behavior.”
“Not a fan by either side but Bruno Fernandes has to be the worst example of a professional footballer ever – whining, moaning, faking an injury, confronting the referee and officials, blaming his team-mates etc. Man Utd have themselves in Let down by having him represent her.’
“Great result for you Geordies, especially after defeating the arrogant, eligible sector of the PL. I’m not from around Newcastle but I love the passion that the fans show and it’s great to see and feel the atmosphere they create. Come on Geordies – salt of the earth. Top four for sure.’
“Manchester who? …. There is only one UNITED and they play in black and white. Howay the boys GET IN!!!’
“One United, Owned by Human Rights Violators!”
“Well played you Geordies, put the Mancs in their place, great, from a Championship-bound Saints fan, best wishes.”
“I love watching Newcastle, the players play as a team and fight for each other and the manager. You are an example of what is possible when you build a team that works together.
… wish I could say the same about my club (Chelsea).”
“Newcastle and Arsenal have been fantastic. Great attacking football!’
“Man Utd fan here – not much else to say other than Newcastle were fantastic today. More intensity, intention, creativity. A really deserved result.”
