The French brand Bugatti has started delivering its “Chiron Super Sport” hypercar to its customers worldwide. Launched in June 2021, the Bugatti Chiron Super Sport is among the fastest cars the company has ever built and only nine units of the high-performance car have been commissioned by the manufacturer to maintain its exclusivity.
Bugatti also announced that all of its Chiron Super Sport models are already reserved. The price of the Bugatti Chiron Super Sport is $3.5 million, which makes the Chiron Super Sport more exclusive than the Chiron Super Sport 300+.
Commenting on the deliveries, Christophe Piochon, President of Bugatti Automobiles said: “It is extremely exciting to see the first Chiron Super Sport customer vehicles coming together in our workshop. The experience of owning a Chiron Driving Super Sport is like nothing the automotive industry has to offer and we look forward to many memorable miles behind the wheel of our customers.”
Bugatti also announced that a one-off, special Chiron Super Sports has received special treatment from the company’s Sur Mesure customization program. With the bespoke “Vagues de Lumière” livery, the personalized unit is the result of close collaboration between its new owner and Bugatti’s Sur Mesure team.
The automaker added in a statement: “The intricate ‘Vagues de Lumière’ style is a true testament to the extent to which customers are able to make any Bugatti their own, with an intricate hand-painted pattern leading the way mimics how light reflects off the curved panels of the Chiron Super Sport.”
The Chiron Super Sport features a revised body compared to the standard Bugatti Chiron, which is 9.8 inches longer and gains carbon fiber design cues to ensure optimal airflow at high speeds and increase the car’s aerodynamic efficiency.
Bugatti also boasts that its hypercar Chiron Super Sport can hit the 200 km/h mark in just 5.8 seconds and 300 km/h in 12.1 seconds. The Bugatti Chiron Super Sport reaches a top speed of 440 km/h.
Bugatti Chiron Super Sport is equipped with a massive 8.0 liter W16 engine with quad turbochargers and produces 1578 hp of power and 1,600 Nm of torque. Bugatti also claims that the cars’ extended tail and modified front end help maintain neutral balance and stability at extremely high speeds.
