Brighton are looking to get their season back on track as soon as possible after a disappointing defeat by Charlton in the fourth round of the Carabao Cup.
That’s the view of ex-Everton midfielder Leon Osman, who reckons Albion must have been frustrated that the campaign was suspended in November.
“They’re probably one of those teams that didn’t want the break to come,” he told ` Radio 5 Live’s Football Daily podcast.
“Roberto de Zerbi came in, they’re sitting well in seventh place and probably just got the momentum they wanted.
“I can imagine it has been a frustrating time for him waiting for the season to get going and he will want a turnaround quickly after this loss.
“He won’t want the season to fizzle out.”
