Arkansas 2023 schedule released

With less than three months until the Gymbacks take the floor for the 2023 season, the team’s full schedule has now been announced.

Arkansas has 10 regular season meets on deck for 2023, including five at home. Three are held at Barnhill Arena and two at Bud Walton Arena. Last season, the Gymbacks made history with the first-ever gymnastics meeting at the venue against Auburn. On January 14, a new attendance record for singles meetings was set with 10,345 fans in the building.

The schedule includes seven SEC meetings, two against Big Ten teams and a quad meeting with Alabama, Oklahoma and Stanford.

General admission season ticket deposits are now available to fans for $25. Season ticket renewal begins Wednesday, October 19.

Before the official competition begins, the team will hold a Gymback Preview Intrasquad on Saturday, December 18th at Barnhill Arena. The event is free and open to the public.

Arkansas kicks off Saturday, January 7th with a road trip to Lincoln, Nebraska to take on the Cornhuskers. It is the ninth meeting between the two teams and the first at Lincoln since 2014.

The Hogs kick-start the SEC schedule on Friday, Jan. 13 at home against Alabama, the Tide’s first visit to Fayetteville since 2021. SEC competition resumes the following week with a doubles meet in Auburn on Jan. 20 continued.

Arkansas then returns home for back-to-back encounters, the first against LSU on Jan. 27 at Barnhill Arena. The Gymbacks return to Bud Walton Arena next Friday, February 3 for a showdown against national runners-up and defending champions Florida Gators. The Hogs will be looking for their first home wins against LSU and Florida in over 10 years.

A four-way battle of the red teams will take place in Fort Worth, Texas on Saturday. February 11 when Arkansas faces Alabama, Oklahoma and Stanford in the Metroplex Challenge. The Hogs return to SEC action on Friday, February 17 with an away game against the Wildcats in Lexington, Ken. and set foot on the Barnhill Arena floor one last time on Friday, February 23 against the Missouri Tigers.

The Hogs will then send out their seniors in a way like never before when they host the Minnesota Golden Gophers at Bud Walton Arena on Friday, March 10.

In the postseason, the Gymbacks head to the 2023 SEC Gymnastics Championships on March 18 in Duluth, Georgia. Regional NCAA competition is scheduled to begin March 31, with Denver, UCLA, Oklahoma and Pitt serving as venues, and the NCAA Championships will run April 15-April 16 in Fort Worth, Texas.
