Alec Hepburn's only start for Exeter this season was the European Champions Cup win against Glasgow last week

“I knew he had dual eligibility, but it wasn't one of those things until now that I ever really stopped and thought would happen,” Baxter said.

The situation may feel “uncomfortable” for Hepburn
Hepburn, who was born in Australia, moved to the UK as a teenager and was part of the Wasps academy and England U20 team before moving to then Championship side London Welsh.
He returned to Australia in 2014 before returning to England to join Exeter the following year.
He has played 173 times for Exeter, helping them win two Premiership titles and the 2020 Champions Cup.
“As strange as it all seems, I think the strangest person to care about is probably Alec,” Baxter told ` Sport.
“I think he's probably in the most difficult position as he probably doesn't want to get involved in this Scotland debate because he hasn't played in Scotland – unless we play Glasgow – and we haven't played Edinburgh either played.” the cups.
“He's played there a few times but he's never trained in a Scotland camp, he's never played with any of these guys so he's probably feeling a bit uncomfortable about everything.”
